“Thus says the LORD!”

Having been in church leadership for over three decades, I am most concerned about the type of sermons some church pastors are presenting to their congregations. Is “Thus says the LORD?” too old-fashioned or out-dated to be relevant today?  Nowadays, the Biblical text seems to be changed to read, “Thus says the man.” Without a doubt, some churches would rather put the  emphasis on wealth, worldly happiness, and “feel-good-about-yourself” sermons.  The things and practices of the world are brought into the church and adopted as essential parts of the sermons. God’s Name is uniquely holy!

“Death, Burial, Resurrection”

“The Sovereign God!”

Sovereignty means unlimited power and authority.  Whereas the Bible presents much about the Sovereignty of God, yet there is no attempt in the Holy Scriptures to prove God’s existence. “One Thing”

“Fear not . . . . be not dismayed!”

} “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). This is a most interesting and tremendous statement and promise from God Almighty.
