Complete and Wonderful Salvation

A true Christian is a person who has trusted  Jesus Christ as his or her own personal Lord and Savior, because of what He did on the cross. Jesus paid the penalty for the sins of mankind through His shed blood and death. This was the way God chose to reconcile sinful man to Himself. “Thus says the LORD!”

Having been in church leadership for over three decades, I am most concerned about the type of sermons some church pastors are presenting to their congregations. Is “Thus says the LORD?” too old-fashioned or out-dated to be relevant today?  Nowadays, the Biblical text seems to be changed to read, “Thus says the man.” Without a doubt, some churches would rather put the  emphasis on wealth, worldly happiness, and “feel-good-about-yourself” sermons.  The things and practices of the world are brought into the church and adopted as essential parts of the sermons.
