“Hope as an Anchor”

A ship’s anchor is a heavy object lowered to the sea-bed to keep the ship from moving away.  Hope is the Christian’s anchor that has securely entered into heaven itself, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf. This means no human “turbulence” such as conflict, strife, worry, stress, trials, burdens, temptations, and the like, will be able to separate us from our hope in God. Sin means missing the mark of God’s divine laws. And anything that falls short of God’s glory is sin. Man is a sinner by nature and by practice. God’s Word makes it abundantly clear “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).  There’s no getting around it, because It is inescapable.  Man commits sin because he is a sinner. Why I am a Christian

The name Christian was given to the early followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and continues to this present day and age. I have been a Christian for most of my life with absolutely no regrets whatsoever.
