I have been crucified . . .

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20). The apostle Paul and all believers are identified with Christ in His death on the Cross. Here is a most wonderful testimony for born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a story in itself. The Christian life is the outliving of the in-living Christ. When a person accepts Jesus as Savior, he […]

To Me To Live Is Christ

The Apostle Paul said, “It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:20,21). “To me to live is Christ” has been  a very personal testimony for me for a long time. It became even more important when I attended a Christian seminar in New York many years ago.  Taking a stroll around the building, I saw “TO ME TO LIVE IS CHRIST” written in […]

Accuracy of Scripture

What is your opinion of the Bible? Do you have a skeptical attitude toward the Bible? The Bible is one book, made up of sixty-six books and presents events of the past, present, and future. The divine author of the Bible is God who chose some forty human authors to write the books of the Bible. The Bible is also called the Holy Bible, God’s Word, or Holy Scriptures. Essentially, books in general are an excellent source of information. And a great number of books have been written over time on a wide variety of topics. However, none can match […]

Let go and allow God

Thus saith the LORD: “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doling a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18,19).  Many of us have heard it said, “Let go. Let God.” This is absolutely true, and worthwhile for us to put in practice. When we “let go and let God” we are relying on God’s wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to do something for us that we are incapable of doing for ourselves. Therefore, we submit the […]

What really matters?

Nowadays we are hearing a lot about “this matters,” or “that matters,” or “other matters.” What about “The Bible matters?” The Bible is the only holy and inspired word of God the Almighty to mankind. It tells us all we need to know about the past, present, and future. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16,17). The Bible is a good book and a “God book.” Sixty-six books make up the Bible, which […]

JESUS SAVES!

“Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:33,4).  The apostle Paul is declaring the gospel that he preached to the Corinthian believers which they received and in which they stood, and were saved. It is noteworthy that Paul is presenting to the believers the same gospel which he also received. Here’s what he says. “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received.” (1 Corinthians 15:3). Paul confirms he also received the gospel. […]

“EVEN IF” or “ONLY IF”

The pastor of my Church has been conducting studies in the book of Daniel. When we got to chapter three where King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold and invited his subjects to attend the dedication ceremony. The king also made a decree that every man on hearing the sound of the music “shall fall down and worship the golden image. And whoever does not fall down and worship and be cast into a burning fiery furness.” (Daniels 3:10,11).  Among the so-called worshippers were Daniel’s three Hebrew companions, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who bluntly refused to serve the king’s gods or worship […]

Pressing on . . .

The Christian life is a progressive life-style. And it was intended that way according to the Scriptures. In his letter to the Philippians, the apostle Paul writes: “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do; forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13,14).  Obviously, Paul was persuaded that there were things he hadn’t yet accomplished for the Lord. He said, “forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, […]

Are You Concerned?

Are you concerned is a question I ask myself also. My answer is YES. I‘m very concerned about what’s happening in America today. Being an American citizen for over four decades, I never thought I would witness the lawlessness and total disregard for law and order that’s taking place. I wonder if this is a great concern to all Bible-believing Christians, as it should be. The COVID-19 pandemic is most serious and cannot be ignored by any means. There are many life-lessons to be learned from this health crisis. We are greatly indebted to the doctors, nurses, and healthcare providers […]

But by the Grace of God

“But by the grace of God I am what I am.” (1 Corinthians 15:10). The apostle Paul made this statement and he certainly knew exactly what he was talking about. Paul said of himself “For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.” (1 Corinthians 15:9). Realizing his unworthiness because of what he had done, he declared: “But by the grace of God I am what I am.” On another occasion he said, “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.” (1 Timothy 1:15). Paul was being very […]
