Reconciliation

In Christian theology, the word “reconcile” means “to change throughly.” The Christian’s reconciliation was accomplished by the Lord Jesus Christ in His shed blood and death on the Cross. The apostle Paul declares, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself” (2 Corinthians 5:17-19). Biblical Reconciliation

The word translated “reconcile” from the Greek means “to change thoroughly,” and is used several times by the Apostle Paul in his epistles. Reconciliation between sinful, wicked mankind and Holy God was accomplished on the Cross by our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
