THE REASON I  WRITE  BLOGS

A “blog” is an on-line page where the writer expresses his observations, opinions, and experiences about a particular topic or subject matter.

As a born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ for many years, I have discovered that writing blogs is an excellent, informal, and conversational way to inspire and encourage Christians and to invite non-Christians readers who may be interested in knowing about the Christian life and service.

My intent in writing blogs is certainly not to promote myself in any way, shape or form. However,  there are times when I may use pronouns such as I, we, our, us, and me, just to let readers know that I am not exempt from the stated example.

An ambassador is a person who represents his government in a foreign country. And the Bible says that Christians “are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us.” (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Therefore, it is my ongoing desire to be an ambassador for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to make Him known through blogs.

We live in a godless, corrupt, immoral, and sinful world where right becomes wrong, and wrong becomes right in today’s culture. Things will not get better as God warns that “evil men and imposters will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13). And Jesus Christ said: “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12).

Both of these referenced passages point to the escalating evil and moral decline in this present world.

My blogs are based entirely on the Word of God — the Bible. Hence, in my preparation, I take the time to  pray that God, through the Holy Spirit, will guide, instruct, and teach me what to write about; including relevant portions of His Holy Word that are quoted in support of the statements that I make.

I thank each and everyone for reading. To God be all the glory and praise for Christ’s sake. Amen.
