I believe that You died for me
Yours is a wonderful Salvation
At a great cost for You to bear
Your blood and righteousness
My sins, nailed to your Cross
Nevermore to be remembered
Sinless, spotless Lamb of God
Where’er You lead, I must follow
In your footsteps while here below
Such a Savior, such a Friend
Never leaving, never forsaking
All my needs are met in You
God’s Eternal Son Most High
Will reign in majesty and power
I must worship and adore You
You alone are the worthy One
Ceaseless honor, power, glory
Be to You now and forever
With trumpet sound; I will arise
To join my Savior in the skies
And be home with You forever
This poem expresses my sincere and personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior and the Lord of my life. I am just like Timothy in the Scripture when the Apostle Paul told him: “From infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15 NIV).
This Bible text is a testimony that the Holy Scriptures are essential for gaining wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Jesus Christ alone. It is not through good works, church membership, baptism, obeying the Ten Commandments, or the Golden Rule.
I have endeavored to abide in the truth of God’s Word, which I have learned and loved from my childhood years; and it has molded my life for good and for God.
I also firmly believe that the Bible has divine power to teach and guide me toward eternal life, and at the same time help me to resist false doctrine, which is so prevalent today.
I sincerely hope and trust that my beliefs as expressed heretofore in this blog, will be a source of inspiration and encouragement to others so that they too can come to saving faith in Jesus Christ and be assured of eternal life from that moment on.
